2- Available Positions for Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice-Ferris State University. Positions are responsible for establishment of a clinical practice in adult, inpatient medicine with clerkship preceptorship and didactic teaching as principle responsibilities. The appointments will complement the existing clinical pharmacy practice at Spectrum Health, located in Grand Rapids and Bronson Methodist Hospital, located in Kalamazoo. Both practice sites are teaching hospitals with substantial commitment to health-care education. In addition, the positions add to the existing faculty base present in each institution, providing the successful candidate with excellent opportunities for collaboration and mentoring.
Additional responsibilities include student advising as well as support of clinical initiatives within the institution. Support of College and University initiatives is expected and a College-supported professional development program is available to ensure development as a clinical educator. The College's philosophy places excellence in teaching as its first priority while encouraging involvement in scholarly activity and professional service. Candidates must be highly motivated to deliver clinical pharmacy services and to engage in innovative didactic and experiential education to a diverse patient and student population. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential.
