Qualifications/Requirements:
PhD/DDS/DMD required. A minimum of three years of private practice experience required. An Indiana dental or dental hygiene license or the ability to acquire an Indiana dental or dental hygiene license is required. Priority will be given to applicants with previous academic experience who have a strong commitment to teaching, as well as the ability to publish in scholarly journals. Rank determined by education and experience.

Duties:
Teach undergraduate dental hygiene courses utilizing e-learning, advise both pre- and program students, develop and maintain an active research program, and fulfill service engagement commitments, as well as professional association activities. Scholarly publication is expected.

The Department of Dental Education, which resides in the College of Health and Human Services, offers three undergraduate dental education programs: dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental laboratory technology. There are over 120 students in the three professional dental programs and approximately 400 pre-students in the department.
