West Virginia Wesleyan College invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing. Applications will be accepted beginning on September 25th for this full-time, 9-month, tenure-track teaching position available in the 2010 fall semester.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Candidate must possess a Master's of Science in Nursing and have current nursing practice in adult health (medical surgical), philosophy of teaching, effective leadership, interpersonal communication, and team-building skills. A current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in West Virginia is required at the time of hire. The ability to teach and supervise students in a variety of clinical settings, and experience in teaching and clinical supervision of students is required. Candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in nursing. Opportunities may exist for teaching graduate courses. Candidate will maintain involvement in scholarship and service. Other responsibilities include curriculum development, advising, committee service and College and professional discipline expectations for scholarship, active contribution to the department participation in recruitment, and other nursing department activities.
Candidates with doctoral education in nursing or other relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply.
