Earned doctorate in health and/or physical education with pedagogy emphasis required; P-12 teaching experience preferred; Background in assessment, motor behavior, adapted physical education, skill content, and/or technology preferred; Experience with on-line instruction using CourseDen or similar system preferred; Record of scholarly productivity, professional involvement, and service desired. Success in securing external funding and entrepreneurial endeavors a plus.
Successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in teacher certification programs, supervise student teachers, and fulfill other teaching responsibilities in the department. Successful candidate will initiate or continue significant professional involvement and an active scholarship agenda of experimental or applied research. Participation in program development, department and campus service, and service in schools is expected.
