Applications are invited for a faculty position with the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, which has a nationally accredited MPH Program.
Assistant/Associate Professor (Epidemiology) for nationally accredited MPH Program with the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, Department of Nutrition (nine month tenure-track position).
Required: Earned doctorate with a graduate degree in epidemiology, evidence of published research in refereed journals; and commitment to obtaining extramural support for research.
Desired: Earned doctorate in epidemiology; MPH, MSPH, or MS-MPH degree in addition to doctorate; research focus nutrition and/or health-related, including obesity and public health nutrition; other research focus in physical activity or public health practice; university teaching experience; public health practice field experience; community-based research experience; effective interpersonal & communication skills; experience with professional and community organizations.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in epidemiology and other public health core disciplines as appropriate. Establish an independent, extramurally-funded research program whose research results in publications in refereed journals. Contribute to the further development of the public health academic program. Collaborate with academic colleagues, including the local interest group of epidemiologists. Advise graduate students and direct graduate projects, theses and dissertations. Provide professional and community service.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
